Steakhouse on Liberty

I have made reservations twice now for the steakhouse on Liberty sailing Sept 3rd and haven't heard back from Carnival. I called today and spoke with someone who says you are suppose to pay for the dinner when you make the reservations. I explained to the woman at Carnival that there was no option to do that. She then stated you need to wait until Carnival emails you the link to pay. I am making the reservations for my husband and myself along with another couple we are cruising with. I wasn't planning on paying for their dinner since it's my birthday we are celebrating. Anyone else have any idea how this works? When do we actually pay?

I would call and talk to someone else. We've made reservations online through the Carnival site and never had to pay. In fact you don't pay until you finish your meal. You should have received an e-mail response, check your spam folder.

You do not pay until you finish you meal :-)

It also sometimes takes a few weeks to get your reply back from the Steakhouse.

I have never paid prior to making the reservation. They always take my S&S card after the meal and charge it to my onboard account.

They are slow in their response, but definitely don't pay ahead of time.

I called back and spoke to another woman who was slightly more helpful. She gave me an email address to try. I emailed Eventplanning@carnival.com and they emailed back right away saying that they couldn't help me verify my reservation that I have to wait for the steakhouse to email me. I made my reservations back in January when I booked the cruise. I went ahead and put in another reservation request just in case. I would think 7 months is enough time to hear back from them or get a confirmation sent to me. I will wait to hear from my newest reservation request.

It took me 2 emails to get an email back from the steak house and I did receive an email back on the second request and did not have to pay upfront

I made a reservation for the Liberty Steak House a few weeks ago. I heard back within a day. I think you were wise trying again.

My first Carnival steakhouse was on Liberty, but I cannot find my old email. With Dream and Conquest, I had heard back and was confirmed within two days of making the reservation (I just double checked my old emails). Both confirmations came from carnival addresses.

Email the steakhouse directly.
