Rare martincath Posted July 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2017 I'm assuming that if you could afford a limo service you'd just fly to the island instead, which leaves three options: Public Transit - buses from downtown will cost a whopping $2.85pp, and take approx 45mins to an hour including transfer time between buses. You could also take Seabus across to Lonsdale Quay and board a bus there - on a Saturday this is the same price, as all non-bus transit tickets are One Zone weekends, and you can transfer from Seabus (or SkyTrain) to bus. The link I gave can be changed to your exact date and estimated time for more accuracy - Google is fully-integrated with all BC Transit timetables which makes their own trip planner pointless, as well as clunkier to use in comparison. Rent a car - could be anything from $30 up depending on demand, size of car etc. Downside is that the ferry will cost more (~$55 extra) so if your buddies live close to the other end of the route or were coming to get you, unnecessary spend. You can use the Google route above, just click on the car icon for driving directions. Take a cab - metered fare is approx. $50 but that will vary WILDLY based primarily on how much time it takes to cross the bridge. Weekends aren't as bad as wekedays for commuters, but aiming to leave downtown after 9am rather than before will probably save you money.
