mcteems Posted December 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Man, we were there just last week. The lava flow at night looked strong. Who would have thought?
Host Karen Posted December 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Spleen, great article. Thanks for the link. I remember well sailing by the lava field at night last December on Infinity (weren't you supposed to be on that sailing?) and I'm looking forward to seeing it again in March. We won't be going back to VNP this trip, but it's fun to know we were once there.

Maybe you could swing by Chinatown or something and we could meet for a cup of joe?? Emi

funforsun Posted December 4, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 4, 2005 Spleen93, I understand you are the resident expert on Roy's. True? If so, could you tell me about the Roy's on Oahu and the views/vistas I can expect at the restaurant? Thanks.

comfixit Posted December 5, 2005 #13 Share Posted December 5, 2005 Kewl! We'll be there on the 18th this month! Can't wait!! I'm going to be there on the 18th as well. (POAM). Glad to hear its active, but based on this comment in the linked article I don't think we will get to see the shooting stream of lava. "I'll be surprised if it lasts a week," said Jim Kauahikaua, head of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Oh well it should be an awsome sight even without the streaming lava. I can't wait.
