game misconduct Posted August 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Sailing on Amsterdam in 3 weeks. Does this tour pick you up at the ship ? Is Intransit the local bus company ?
game misconduct Posted August 20, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted August 20, 2017 We are interested in the Portage Glacier Cruise & Wildlife Conservation Tour in Anchorage. What is meant by "INTRANSIT'?
AKStafford Posted August 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2017 Do you have a web link of what you are looking at?
Glaciers Posted August 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2017 I’m guessing that Intransit means you’ll be docked in Anchorage vs Seward or Whittier and are not ending or beginning your cruise, you’re “intransit” as you need to reboard the ship to continue your cruise. AKStafford Posted August 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2017 So as I understand it: from the ship you'll take a shuttle up to probably the Egan Center. There you would catch your tour. The Portage Glacier cruise on the lake is one of my favorite little trips and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a great stop. The Portage Glacier cruise is owned by Holland America and so you'll most likely be on one of their motorcoaches.
