AdventureGal79 Posted September 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2017 Venice is our first stop, and our cruise line has a liberal BOYB policy. I'd like to take advantage of that and grab some "bulk" wine (alla Spina [on tap] or sfuso [in bulk]) for during the cruise. Do I NEED to bring my own container to purchase wine on tap / bulk? Or would they sell containers there? And can anyone suggest a good shop (sfuso or not) with a decent prosecco, Recioto di Valpolicella, Recioto di Gambellara, Recioto di Soave, or Fior D’Arancio? As you can tell, I prefer sweet wines. ;p
lisiamc Posted September 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2017 Most cantinas will sell containers, although they might be the larger ones. Many grocery stores, even quite small ones, will carry empty 1 litre glass bottles, so that could be another source.
cruisecatmama Posted September 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2017 The shop we bought wine in bulk from filled 2 liter soda bottles that he provided. It was on Giudecca on the canal. I don't remember the name of the shop.
AdventureGal79 Posted September 8, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Thank you!! I'll see if I can find them, and see what wines they have available.
