New Years Eve in Tampa

We'll be staying in Tampa for 2 nights before our cruise leaves on Jan 1. Any suggestions as to what to do in Tampa for New Years Eve? My boyfriend and I are both in our 20's. I heard about events at Busch Gardens but I didn't know if there was anything else going on in the city that any of the locals knew of.

I was also going to recommend Ybor City.

 

The Columbia Restaurant may be open and doing a nice dinner celebration or the restaurant at the Don Vicente Hotel might have something going on.

thanks for the great ideas! We can't wait to spend New Years in Tampa. Our hotel is right in Ybor City so we'll be close to it all. Thanks also for the restaurant suggestions. We've been looking around at options for dinner on new Years eve since pretty much anywhere we'll need a reservation.

Though it's not in Ybor City, Berns Steak House is one of Tampa's most famous restaurants. It's very unique and definitely a "must go" place IMO, whether it's new year's eve or another night.

 

Bernini's in Ybor is good too.
