FreddiFish Posted December 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2005 Hi, Travelling with young kids (Ages 5, 6, 8, 10) and will have a 1 day stop here. Was wondering if anybody has recommendations on activities here that would appeal to that age group... When I look at some of the excursions they are 4 and 5 hours long and I just can't see us doing that kind of thing... Looking for something fun yet accessible... Thanks
hollym Posted December 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Even though this tour is several hours long, it is unforgettable and would highly advise it for children and teens. We loved it. We saw lots of sperm whales, some as close as six feet from the boat. We also were treated to a dolphin show on the return trip to the ship. Several different species of dolphins leapt clear out of the water across our bow as the tour boat operator negotiated a big circle in the water. Spectacular day but take your seasick medications in advance if you're prone to that kind of thing. ;)

One of the guides lifted my 6yo son on his shoulders to give him a really spectacular look at the sperm whales. This was an amazing experience for the whole family!
