Kayak tour. Which one?

DW and I will be on the Grand Princess for a 15 day Hawaii cruise R/T San Francisco, 1/22/2018..

We are interested in doing a kayaking shore excursion booked through Princess.

We are considering one:

Hilo. Hilo Bay and Waterfall Kayaking Adventure.

or:

Kauai. Hidden Falls Kayak Adventure.

 

 

Question:

Have you done both, or either?

Which one did you like?

Do I need to wear bug spray for mosquitoes?

Do the 2 person kayaks tip over?

I can’t swim. Will that be a problem?

Never mind. I think we’ll pass on doing kayaking. I read the small print, and strong swimming skill is recommended.

Maybe we’ll do some hikes instead. :D

We did it back in 2010. We didn’t need to swim. I assume it’s listed in case you tip the kayak because you are on a river, plus there is a river crossing (with a rope tied across to assist) during the hike and the current was kind of rough when we were there.
