Ship's time vs local??

Sorry, I would have searched this out "if" the search function ever worked.

I will be sailing the Galaxy 11 day Panama Canal in late December. I am assuming that given a clientel that can tell time, that the ship will always adjust the clocks to local port time the evening before. The ports of concern are Panama and Costa Rica.

Thanks

Rich

That is correct, at least on our cruises up to now, we were given notification via the ships Celebrity Today, as well as a little notice on the pillow at turn down....."please remember to set your clocks .........tonight."

We've been on two cruises where ships time/local time were not in sync. There was a big warning in the daily about the difference.

You should always check out the daily (different names by different cruiselines). Offers a lot more than just "drink of the day".

We were in Alaska where there was a time change one day.

We were warned in Celebtity Today and numerous times by the staff of the time change both coming and going.

In addition, EVERY CLOCK ON THE SHIP was changed on both days...you had to set your own watch but beyond that they took care of everything...most impressive!

You couldn't have missed it unless you were brain dead!

Happy Sailing!

We had a suite on a transatlantic that had an analog clock. It was amazing to watch that thing click, click back when resetting the time (2am in the morning, but what the heck, you got your jollies whenever you can icon_wink.gif).
