jwarfield20 Posted January 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2018 I see that Mamma Mia is currently on the Allure. Any idea when this show changes? We are sailing March 18 2018 and curious what to expect. Also, does anyone know who the piano bar player will be at the Schooner bar?
BigTuna99 Posted January 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2018 I'm on the same ship/date and the entertainment schedule has been online for a couple weeks already. It's going to be Mamma Mia. You should schedule all of your shows online when you get a chance.
Clarea Posted January 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2018 I see that Mamma Mia is currently on the Allure. Any idea when this show changes? We are sailing March 18 2018 and curious what to expect. Also, does anyone know who the piano bar player will be at the Schooner bar? The main shows generally stay on the ship for years, I would not expect it to change at least until 2019 or 2020, whenever she next has a dry dock. Request other entertainment from web_reservations@rccl.com about 3 weeks before the cruise.
Rare moposh Posted January 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2018 I can skip Mamma Mia. Saw it when it was on tour. Music was good, but story was not.
katiel53 Posted January 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2018 In a question/answer session in the theater, the dance Captain told us that Mama Mia is very popular and that shows are usually for 5 years and may be renewed if attendance is still good. I think, but am not sure, that Mama Mia is scheduled for a couple more years at least. I also found it interesting that she explained that some shows, ie Blue Planet on Allure, are permanent shows. They are written for the ship and do not change at all. Cost is a big consideration for these shows.
