cruisealot Posted January 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Received a call from Carnival to upgrade from a FH Ocean View to a FH suite for our Carnival Horizon European cruise. The representative made it sound like a deal but I thought it was a bit pricey. The offer to upgrade was $1400 for 4 people. We only paid $3800 for the cruise, port fees, gratuities, and insurance. I thought paying over 25% more was a bit much. I told the representative thanks but no thanks. What do others think?

RWolver672 Posted January 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2018 The only way to know if it was a good deal or not is check to see what a suite would cost to begin with. If what you paid for your cabin plus the $1400 is less than what the suite is selling for, then it was a deal. If it is the same, it wasn't a deal at all. Then you have to ask yourself, is it worth paying $5200? Seeing how you already turned it down, I'd say you did the right thing.
