Stranded Cruise Ships Scheduled to Depart

Recommended Posts

(2:30 p.m.) -- At least two of the three cruise ships that have been stranded in Miami's Government Cut channel since the crash of a seaplane there last night will be allowed to depart. According to a statement issued by Carnival Cruise Lines this afternoon, Inspiration and Fascination will both be sailing at 4 p.m.

Imagination, originally intended to visit Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios will now visit Calica, Mexico, and Key West. Fascination's itinerary is modified as well. That ship will go to Freeport and Nassau instead of the originally scheduled Key West and Mexico.

All passengers will receive a $100 per person shipboard credit and those who do not wish to continue their cruise can cancel without penalty.

So far, no word from Royal Caribbean about its Majesty of the Seas, which is the third ship docked at the Port of Miami.
