Am going first time on Princess. We are going to the Western Caribbean,- Princess Cay, Falmouth Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Have a few questions about the ports.

How are the waters for swimming?

Need ideas for excursions in Cozumel.

If we tender, can you go back and forth to ship whenever you want?

Have never snorkeled will they show new people how to snorkel?

do you need bug repellent?

Waters in the Bahamas in December can be choppy and cold. When we did private island in Dec. you could go in the water but is was a little chilly. The outside temp was 78.

In Cozumel the big attraction is snorkeling. If you choose to go snorkeling they will give you a quick lesson and show you how to put on fins and mask with breathing tube.

You will tender in Grand Cayman and they have swimming with the stingrays. Yes you can go back and forth; however, most people get off ship take the tender to shore and stay on shore then board later in the day

 

*** let me clarify my above thread. Water can be calm in December so you will have to wait until you get to Princess Cay; if water is too choppy to tender the captain normally will go to Nassau
