Is anything major going on in Tampa the weekend of 1/21/06?

I have been bidding on priceline for the last 6 weeks for a room

at the airport zone and keep getting rejected. I have bid up to

$80.00 for 3 star hotel.

Our cruise is getting closer and I still do not have a pre-cruise stay

hotel.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

dont see anything that would block out many rooms. I havent kept up with the Bucs to see if they will be in the playoffs? Possibly hotels have been holding out incase they needed them for home field playoffs.

 

Book a hotel you can cancel and keep trying priceline. Good Luck

I took a look at Hotwire for that weekend just out of curiousity and the hotel I've got for this Friday (12/30) is twice the price for your date. I don't know what's going on, but the prices are definately higher than I've seen when booking back in October for this weekend.

Would you consider staying airport/Westshore? Many people stay in that area when they cruise. I got the Wyndham Westshore 3* for 60.00 plus fees for Feb 10, I gave up on downtown at 70.00

The airport/Westshore zone is the one I have been bidding on.

Have not tried the downtown zone because from all the reviews

I have read the airport/Westshore is the best area to stay.

But if worst comes to worst, I will add the downtown zone.

I just could not figure out why the rates are higher on that

weekend.
