rhondabo Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 We are on a Cruise & Maritime ship sailing out of Tilbury in September. We are flying in from Canada and would love to get some suggestions as to which airport has the best connections or other help on getting to Tilbury. Thanks. Velvetwater Posted March 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) Any London area Airport would be a safe bet (Heathrow ,Stansted or Gatwick) Heathrow will have the best options usually as its the main one and its the closest to Tilbury. But all of the airports above will have excellent train links to Tilbury as UK trains are plentiful and regular and all major airports have their own train station. For more money there are shuttle services too. When you are searching flights just choose the option any London. SteveH2508 Posted March 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Check out the coach shuttle from Victoria coach station to Tilbury (bookable through CMV). Victoria is easier to get to than Tilbury by train (and from Tilbury station to the cruise terminal involves a bus or a taxi). Gatwick to Victoria is easy - Gatwick Express train then a short walk to the coach station. Heathrow to Victoria is also not difficult on the underground (1 cross-platform change but luggage can be an issue in rush hour).
