If you are lucky you'll get to dock here, we pulled up to the dock on a beautiful sunny calm day. But we didn't dock because the captain stated the seas were too rough due to the prior days storm. It was a bummer, but you've got to trust the Captain............

Wow, too rough to dock? Sure I know it can be to rough to tender, but to dock? Never heard of that before, but as you said, It is the Captains call, Thanks for the reply. Teri

We docked on our January 2004 cruise aboard the Splendour of the Seas.

 

Looking forward to being on that pier on January 31ST........zipline and Oscar Brown here we come.

You usually dock in Limon but when we sailed the Coral last Feb. 04 it was too dangerous to even dock or tender and the ship had to dock about 1-2 miles up the coast in another town. So all of the venders, excursion drivers etc had to move up the coast. The seas were rough that day.

Is this true?

 

That the sand in Costa Rica is pink? I would love to know i am on the Carnival Freedom July 4th,2009 sail away and our ports include Limon!

I have seen black sand in Puerto Limon but never pink sand. The black sand is from a volcano. Guess there could be granite there as well. We haven't been to tons of beaches so anything could be there.
