Has anyone rented Bikes for some self-exploring?

What are the rates like?

Is there a rental facility near the cruise port?

How was the traffic flow around bicycles, do the cars give way?

Any more casual routes preferred over others?

Is the terrain flat, similar to Key West?

any other sort of knowledge a bike rider should know?

Thanks in advance!

Actually I can't recall seeing any bikes.

The traffic is pretty well regulated, they obay the typical laws.

The main roads seemed to be in a good condition, back roads not so well maintained.

I will ask my friend who lives in Havana if there are any bike rentals, he should know.

Forget it, unless maybe you bring your own bike and all supplies for repair, which some hard-core bike touring folks do. If you had already visited, you'd understand why a casual ride for the day isn't a viable idea.

Maybe you can pay one of the bici-taxi guys to let you peddle him around. LOL
