JohninDC Posted August 20, 2018 #26 Share Posted August 20, 2018 We also think Mr. Sanchos is way to crowded. We do like Nachi Cocom and are wanting to try somewhere new plus its booked up the day were there in Sept. Does Paradise beach take reservations? How crowded does it get? We don't get off the ship until 10am so worried good seats may already be taken. Have you tried Secrets Aura or any other resort day passes? Thanks for any help. Paradise Beach does not take reservations, but it is large and you can always find good loungers, etc. $3 admission/chair rental fee, great facilities, HUGE pool, plus good food, drinks and service - I LOVE the nachos there! :D
JohninDC Posted August 20, 2018 #27 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I'm looking for the best beach for swimming and snorkelling, not interested in paying for a resort day pass.Which beaches would be ideal? Thank you None of the sandy beaches will offer good snorkeling - the sand and waves cloud the water and there are no rocks/reefs for the little fish to thrive in. Best snorkeling from the shore is at Chankanaab Park or Money Bar. Chank offers a small beach, small pool, separate snorkel area, sea lion shows, options to swim with the dolphins (extra $$), etc. for about $20 admission. Money Bar charges no admission, has no beach (you enter the water via steps), has lots of room to relax/chairs/tables, good facilities, plus good food, drinks and service. Taxi to either will be about $11-12 each way.
