My first post here! Looking for advice on hotels in San Juan pre-cruise NCL

We are looking for a nice hotel to stay at before our cruise in late November (30th wedding anniversary). I see that NCL departs from the Pan American Pier. Any suggestions on a nice place to stay for two nights pre-cruise and are there any tourist suggestions or ways to sign up for a tour of the city, excursions, etc? I appreciate the advice or direction to prior posts.

It's a short cab ride from OSJ to Panamartican.

We stayed at the El Convento Hotel which is right in the heart of Old San Juan. It was a 30 minute cab ride to the pier (traffic). It is a beautifully appointed historic hotel.

 

We had a great breakfast at Casa Cortes Chocobar (delicious chocolate grilled cheese) and enjoyed a Flavors of San Juan Food Tour.

 

Dinner at Princesa Gastrobar was excellent.
