B.W. Oceanside in FLL

Have booked pre and post cruise for a few extra days at the Best Western Oceanside in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone ever stayed there before? Condition of hotel and it's shuttle.

It's old and nasty, but does seem to be in the middle of a remodeling project... Don't worry about shuttles, that's NEVER a reason to book a hotel, they're almost always more trouble than they're worth.

 

There's only ONE nice BW in South Florida, and that's Pelican Beach Resort, but even there I would ONLY stay in the NEW tower.

I just booked BW Oceanside for a one night post-cruise stay in early April. How bad is bad?:confused:

Pretty Bad! They couldn't remodel, ne-new, or re- anything to make us stay there again! I can still smell that room when I think about it!

Find another place.

BAD Suzie... I would certainly find another hotel if it were me. As I said the ONLY nice BW in South Florida is the Pelican Beach Resort's NEW tower.

 

If you're looking for a budget hotel try these - they're only 5 minutes from the beach, less than 10 minutes from FLL, just outside the entrance to Port Everglades and have dozens of restaurants, shops, grocery, drug & liquor stores as well as the very popular Water Taxi all within safe, easy walking distance...

We were going to stay at BW Oceanside but when I picked my husband up from golf,( I had been there for 3 hours) I said "You get us out of here NOW !! " We stayed at Doubletree Galleria...it was great and is a stop for the Water Bus !! You have the pool to yourself !!.Never again for BW Oceanside !!
