Carnival Fantasy OK to Use Showers at the Spa

Even if you are not registered for the spa, I have read a couple of times that it is OK to use the showers at the spa

if they are not busy. I am overweight, there will be 3 of us in the cabin and that would be very helpful.

Has anyone done this? Is it frowned upon? Any info?
