toothfary7 Posted August 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Cruising next February with a 9 month & 2 year old. I'm looking for a calm water beach. Someplace where we can rent a couple chairs, food, drinks or even get a day pass? Any suggestions??
SnorkelAway Posted August 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2018 Hard to predict what is going to be calmest beach, depends on particular conditions when you are there. I would guess that Divi Little Bay may be your best bet on where to go.
Rare crewsweeper Posted August 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2018 Divi Little Bay or Le Galion Beach are best bets. Divi is closer. Le Galion is up near Orient Beach. Not sure how the facilities there survived the hurricanes last year. Divi seems to be okay again.
SnorkelAway Posted August 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2018 I do not believe there are any facilities at Le Galion - unless maybe the small wind surfing shop is back up and running. Nothing like what would be available at Divi. Tropical Wave, Chez Pat, Pat Turner's operations are gone for good at Le Galion.

PhoenixCruiser Posted August 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2018 We went to Maho Beach with a 2 year old, she enjoyed the ocean but absolutely loved the pool they built. It had a nice ramp that she used to get in and then climbed out on the edges (over and over and over again) :-) We took the shuttle, near where you get off the ship. Fourteen of us for $16 PP round trip - the driver ended up staying there until we were done - this was not discussed with him when he dropped us off. Would do it again. Edited to add - there was no charge to use the pool and it was connected to Sunset Bar and Grill area and they had chairs at the pool. Like the option of having a pool and beach. My daughter would like both!
taboom Posted August 24, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 24, 2018 We took the bus to Mullet Bay....loved it there....super calm and a great beach for kids (although I think it depends on the time because I’ve been there years ago and it was not so calm). Then we walked to Maho Beach (about 15min) and watched the planes :)

Was the bus stop for the return trip near the beach as well? Thanks in advance.
