travelbound44 Posted November 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2018 Dishonest, unreliable. They cancelled our service without even telling us. The credit card we booked with expired 6 months ago. We still have not received a refund and it has been over 8 weeks. They have mislead us or lied to us on several occassions. Their latest tactic was to tell us that thhey contacted our bank and confirmed the refund to an expired card and have proof. We had called bank and they told us, their customer that refunds are not applied to an expired card. When we asked Tuscany Bus for contact name and supposed proof, they have ignored us. We gave them the correct card to refund to but they refuse. Spend your hard earned dollars on a reliable, honest company not named Tuscany Bus! 😢
travelbound44 Posted November 22, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted November 22, 2018 Now it has been 10 weeks and still no refund. They continue to tell us that they refunded to an expired card. We know that their service has been questioned by others on TA. Be careful with this company. Happy and safe travels to all!
mapleleaves Posted November 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2018 which service did you book with them ? If they cancelled without telling you, does that mean you showed up for their tour and there was no bus ?
travelbound44 Posted November 24, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted November 24, 2018 We had booked round trip service from Rome airport to the cruise port. They cancelled the pick up at the airport without informing us. We found out from our Hotel manager who had asked how we would arrive. If he hadn't told us we would have been stranded at the airport. We ended up using Bob's Limo service. One of Tuscany Bus employees told us the cancellations happen all the time if there are not enough people booked. They didn't want to lose money. We also booked the Livorno/Lucca/Pisa bus tour. It was nothing more than bus transportation to and from. They offer very little information and the bus was uncomfortable due to the A/C not working properly. Luckily we made it back to the ship on time. They wait for everyone to be back onboard evn though there was a set time to get back. Reviews on TA are not very positive either. Spend your money elsewhere. debbyfelse1963 Posted February 6, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2019 has anyone done the Tuscany bus from Livorno to Florence and Pisa. I was thinking of using them but based on the reviews above i'm not sure
Giantfan13 Posted February 7, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2019 We used them for a bus from Livorno to Pisa. We cruised mid December and they weren't doing a continuation to Lucca. I cannot comment on their bus to Florence. Unlike the OP, we contacted them several times in advance to see if we could get a bus from Pisa to Lucca. They always responded right away, basically telling us that they had none for the day we were in Livorno. We pre bought tickets for the one leg, to Pisa, but you also can buy a ticket tin the Tourist Info shop, a few hundred yards from the bus stop. They run 3 separate buses to Pisa, each bout 3 hours apart. We wanted to do the early bus, maybe take the train to Lucca and then come back on a alter bus, but they won't allow that. You are buying a round trip ticket, so if you go on the 10AM bus, you have to return on the 1PM bus. All in all, we were completely satisfied. Just be aware that the bus leaves you in a main parking area and it is still a nice walk to the Leaning Tower. Cheers Len

It was stress free as we were asking the bureau about the bus and train. A group of 10 of us used them again in 2017 with 8 going to Lucca and 2 going to Florence. We were satisfied with the transportation and WiFi and had no issues. They returned us to the ship instead of the plaza.
