threebluestars Posted December 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2018 We're booked on a 7 day Vancouver - Alaska roundtrip on the Nieuw Amsterdam in a VD class balcony room aft deck 7. Looking at the deck plans it's hard to figure out how large the balcony is - standard 6ft?
catl331 Posted December 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2018 (edited) In a picture at halfacts.com/7138-nieuw-amsterdam/ it looks to me to be a bit deeper than 6 feet. catl331 Posted December 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2018 ... but 7138 is a VB, not VD. By 'aft' do mean 'stern' like a lot of people here, or do you mean a side VD in the back half of the ship? If you mean a side VD, 7081 to 7099, those are 6' deep. Heartgrove Posted December 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2018 We were just on the Eurodam (sister ship to NADM) in VD 7092. The balcony is a standard depth and width balcony.
