Tell me all about sailing to Asia on NCL

Looking at one of the cruises on The Jade to Asia in December 2019.   We have sailed a lot in Europe and The Caribbean on NCL and other lines.  

 

Tell me all about your experiences on NCL to Asia.  The itinerary looks amazing, with 3 overnights.   Traveling would be DH, and our two kids who would be 6 and 15 at the time of sailing.  Thank you.

We were on he Jewel; Yokohama-Shanghai-Yokohama-Seattle earlier this year and really enjoyed it.  We have also been on the Star that included the Malaysian ports.  We loved both areas.   If you are into ports your itinerary looks good for that part of Asia.

casofilia - I think this would be an amazing experience.  What is the primary language spoken on board?

On both of our cruises, and I would imagine on the Jade, the "only" language was English.  OK there were lots of other languages available as the staff were from all over the world but announcements were in English.

 

If there is a large group for whom the first language is not English there might be some announcements in that language, we have been on cruises when a second language announcement has been made notably German or Spanish.   But groups tend to have a leader who sets up a board and meeting place for their party.   They also had their own Freestyle Daily and Shorex brochures etc.

If you are going to disembark in Singapore AFTER the previous port is in Malaysia there is NO free allowance for alcohol or tobacco.
