Rhapsody in March seemed full, now many cabins available??

Hi, just wondering if anyone has an answer to this question...the final payment date was early December and there didn't seem to be any cabin availability, but now there are lots of inside, OV and balconies available.   I did a Royal Up bid so was checking everyday and most cabins were guarantee only, leading me to think the ship was almost full.  Now it seems like at least 1/4 to 1/3 of cabins are still available....any ideas why so many cabins opened up so far past the final payment date?  Hoping my Royal Up offers go through 🙂
