new_cruiser_75 Posted February 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2019 We are looking to go zip lining in Puerto Vallarta but every outfit says they have the "fastest" or "highest" etc... lines in Mexico. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help :-)
Ine Posted February 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2019 There are a few ziplines companies. I think there is not that much difference between them. Why not take the one that is the easiest to go to. Muich depends whether you book private or through the ship. Check this company: https://canopyriver.com/en/
MSN-Travelers Posted February 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2019 We have used Los Veranos Canopy Tours several times. https://canopytours-vallarta.com The ziplines are one part of the excursion experience. Ease of access to the excursion site and additional on-site activities can play an part part of your evaluation process. Trip Advisor has additional information/reviews on the various excursion operators in the Vallarta area. ENJOY!
new_cruiser_75 Posted February 19, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted February 19, 2019 Thank you both for your help. We are willing to book either through the ship or independently and ease of getting to/from isn't as much of a concern either. We are interested in the longer, higher, faster zips and if there are other activities offered there that would be a bonus, but not a deal breaker. Thanks again
westernbugman Posted March 12, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) Check out Los Veranos we have done it twice. The second time it included a zodiac boat trip along the coast to an pretty cool bay where we transported to the zip lines. Some were long, some fast and pretty high. Also have a bar/restaurant and tequila tasting. Lots of fun at a fair price. Edited March 12, 2019 by westernbugman
ahaught Posted March 26, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Booking through Puerto Vallarta Tours to Canopy River was great. Took a cab from the ship to the tour office then we were picked up from the office and taken to Canopy River to zipline. The lines were high, fast and long. We have zip lined in Roatan and Belize City as well and this was much better. We were picked up from Canopy River and taken directly back to the ship.
CRiverCruiser Posted April 2, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2019 About 11 zip line areas in Puerto Vallarta. Vista Paraiso is by far the largest almost twice the size of Canopy River and Los Veranos. Three and a half times the size of Vallarta Outdoor Adventures. Ones like Los Veranos are mostly baby practise zip lines with 8 of their baby practice lines lasting only from 5 to 15 seconds. Reiviews mention 100 people and the lines backing up 20 minutes on Cruise ship days. Vists Paraiso small groups. Vista Paraiso's zip lines average 485 meters each and over 35 seconds in duration. Los Veranos has Zero. Vista Paraiso has 3 superman lines lasting over 50 and 55 seconds. Vista Paraiso transports you to the top of the mountain. No long uphill hikes and no stairs to climb. The others you have to do uphill hikes and climb hundreds of stairs. Vists Paraiso dual lines. Canopy River and Los Veranos single lines. Vista Paraiso has washrooms at the mid way point. The others you are out of luck. Vista Paraiso has by far the best views and is the only one with zip lining above the ocean. Top three zip lines in meters: Vista Paraiso 1000, 880, 800 Canopy River 650, 420, 294 Los Veranos 400, 360, 360 Vallarta Outdoor Adventures 300, 250, 145. Dont be fooled by the hype and fancy brochures. Good luck and enjoy your long zip lines.
new_cruiser_75 Posted July 22, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted July 22, 2019 We took CRiverCruiser's advice and went with Vista Paraiso and had a great time! The transportion was great, the lines were long and fast, and the salsa and chips at the end were yummy! I would not purchase the pictures of us on the bull again as the ink is still rubbing off a week later. On the other hand, the picture/video package of us zip lining was worth the money
