Ah ! SR my friend, We have always understood  that Gala/Formal evenings on Cunard have always been paired with ' sea days' . Out of interest, what is the ratio of port days & clear sea days on your upcoming  19 nights.😉

A few years ago in June we were on a 7-night Norway cruise aboard the Q.E.  There were three formal nights, two of which were on port days.

We recently took the QM2  7-night Québec - New York cruise twice. On each voyage the second of two formal nights was held on departure from Halifax.

No doubt the shortage of sea days, with the second one being the last night of the cruise, is the reason for this.

Could anyone please give me an idea about the actual Dress Code for Queen Elizabeth Japan to Alaska Cruise.

I have read that considering it's an Alaska itinerary, the dress code is a lot less formal more relaxed.

What is 'Not' suitable to wear during the day? (Thongs, bathing suit, boyfriend rip jeans etc) ...and

What is considered ' Formal wear' for ladies?

Im just cautious about transporting a Large suitcase (post knee replacement travelling solo) with dresses for Masquerade Night, Black and White Night, and what ever else is scheduled.
