rachelandgromit Posted March 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2019 After contacting a local operator about some tours, I'd certainly check with Tui where the ship docks. My itinerary said Kingstown St Vincent but apparently since the start of the season it has Bequia. This has an impact if you're sorting tours out as you will need to get the ferry over to Kingstown at $45 return plus make sure you have allowed time to get there and back. We only found this our as we were interested in hiking La Soufrière and a local operator told us and even sent us pics of Marella in port. I've contacted Tui to check this out. edinburgher Posted March 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2019 My itinerary said Kingstown St Vincent but apparently since the start of the season it has Bequia. I don't know when "the start of the season is/was" We did a 14 night (ie 2 x 7 nights B2B) last week Nov/first week Dec on Explorer. We had both ports on the itinerary on different days. Which ship are you on? And when? There are several websites which list cruise visits, date, arrival and departure times. You could also check the cruise ship calendar on the official SVG Port Authority website. Or e-mail them directly.
hammers Posted February 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2020 I hope we don't dock at Kingstown, I really hate St Vincent. If we do Dock there as per our itinerary, the wife and I will be staying on the Explorer 2.
Roland123 Posted February 6, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2020 We love Bequia if you are visiting there is a lovely little beach within walking distance of where the ship tenders. Not much in Kingstown, very run down when we were there but we felt safe just wandering round.
