Hambone Posted January 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Hi Dee, We are on the April 22nd sailing and my husband and I sailed on the Serenade last year as well. As far as I remember, our formal nights were on Monday (St. Martin) and I think Thursday, which is Barbados. That's the way it was for us, as far as I can recall. Have fun planning! This is totally a cruise I would do with my girlfriends, but it falls more into the relaxing kind of vacation than it does crazy partying... dee_blue eyes Posted January 25, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks for info. I'm curious..we booked cabin #9518. Would you know where that is located? Any advice on excursions??
Hambone Posted January 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2006 No idea from personal experience, but you can check here and find your cabin location (copy and paste): http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do;jsessionid=0000EByUlXClCCq601j9kwhqsq8:10ktmevl6?shipCode=SR&shipProfile=1066 As far as excursions, last time we only booked one through the ship, and that was the Barbados shipwreck snorkel and 4x4 adventure. It was really fun, but not good for those who get motion sick! On our own we did Coki Beach in St. Thomas (beautiful!), a jeep rental in St. Martin (easy to do and fun, weather wasn't great but Orient Beach is beautiful), went diving near Pigeon Island national park in St. Lucia and took Adventure Antigua (http://www.adventureantigua.com) in Antigua, which was by far the best money we spent on the cruise. I highly recommend it!! This year we plan on doing Crane Beach in Barbados and we are going to St. John when we get to St. Thomas, which I am very excited about. We have a thread started for people on this sailing which you might want to check out! SO far there are some good ideas/recommendations. Glad to help!
