Boarding in Venice

We will stay a few nights before our cruise in Venice. As we stay at San Clemente Island we booked a boat ride to the cruise terminal. Will the luggage be taken there from the boat to bring it to the cruise ship? How does it work at the cruise terminal?

We cruised on the Wind out of Venice.  The ship was docked at the San Basilio terminal which is kind of around the corner from where the bigger ships dock.   We used Silversea transfers from our hotel to the terminal and there is a small water taxi stop at the end of the dock.  The entrance to the terminal is just a few feet away and porters were quickly there to take our luggage as it was unloaded from the launch and next time we saw it was in our cabin.   Even if there hadn’t been any porters it wouldn’t have been a big deal to move our luggage ourselves to the close by terminal.   Past that it’s just like any other Silversea embarkation check-in once you turn your luggage over at the terminal.
