Recent STAR cruisers: does the STAR still do the helmet beer? Any comments you care to offer up regarding itinerary changes? ...and, do you know if the lap pool is in good working order?

We were on the Star in January. They still have Helmut Buckets with ice available for beer, however, no discount. They charge $5.00 deposit for the bucket and you get the money credited back to your account when you return it.

Last week they still had 'helmets of beer' but I don't know what the price was.

it sounds as if the helmet beer is still available, but the "one free" deal is not, yes? It was nice to have 6 beers on ice and not to bother with bar service Each and Every time you wanted a cold one;) I'm not going on the cruise to $ave money; however, that free one was appreciated. tnx f/your replies.
