rienreiter Posted January 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2006 Hi: Can anyone here indicate if the saunas and steamrooms in the Zuiderdam are coed or if they are separate for men and women? Thanks,
the2ofus Posted January 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2006 As far as I know all saunas and steam rooms are separate, at least there have been separate facilities for men and women on all five HAL ships I have been on, including the Westerdam. jc2sunrise Posted January 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Both the thermo suites and Hydropool areas were coed when I was on the Zuiderdam New Years cruise, unless I was in the wrong spot. But then both areas were closed after the second day for the duration of the cruise due to the Norovirus. When I did visit the one day when opened, both areas had both male and female visitors, and there did not appear to be any other sauna or steam room areas outside of the thermo suites that I knew of. flashdog_1 Posted February 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2006 Sounds like we're talking about two different amenities. I have not been on the ship in question, but other ships, not HAL. On those ships there were free steam rooms/sauna areas in each of the dressing rooms at the pool, men's and women's. ] This was not the same as the fee required use of the special Tpool with sauna area. Is that how it is on Hal? I'd read here on CC today that the price for the spa package of Tpool and sauna was high, but that if you ASK you can get them priced separately.
