Entry/Exit in 3 continuous ports in UAE

Dear experts,

When a cruise visits multiple ports along the coastline of the same country, is is considered an exit an re-entry at each & every port ?

And is the passport stamped for exit & entry at every port?

eg) Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas island, all 3 ports in UAE

When the cruise ship sails from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, is it considered an exit & re-entry ? (I am not sure if the cruise ship will go into international waters beyond 12 nautical miles from the coast of UAE, when sailing from Dubai to Abu Dhabi).

Similarly, when the cruise ship sails from Abu Dhabi to Sir Bani Yas island, is it considered an exit & re-entry ?

I need to know, since I am entitled to a PAID visa on arrival (120 dirhams) at ALL ports of UAE, because of my valid 10 year US visa

I can buy a visa on arrival at Dubai airport for 120 dirhams & then board the cruise ship at Dubai seaport.

When the ship sails from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, is it considered an exit & re-entry? If so, will i have to buy a FRESH visa on arrival at Abu Dhabi port & again buy a 3rd visa on arrival at Sir Bani Yas island?

Thanks in advance ,

Spring

I would double-check this one with your cruise line but I’m pretty sure this would count as one entry and exit to the UAE, and you would only need a further visa if the cruise visited another country between any of the UAE ports.

MSC confirmed on phone that it would count as 1 entry only & your passport will NOT be stamped at all 3 consecutive ports (Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sir Bani Yas) in UAE.

Despite the fact that the ship may go into international waters beyond 12 nautical miles in between these 3 ports, in order to open the casino.

I was pretty sure that would be the case, it's the same as visiting multiple locations on a land trip you don't get exit and entry stamps each time you travel from Emirate to Emirate.  However, if your cruise visits Qatar, Bahrain or Oman before returning back to the UAE that would be an exit and re-entry...
