Beaches Away Fom The Pier Question

Has anyone been in port for the day ever gone to Loquillo Beach? I was there a while ago and thought it was so beautiful! How far away is it and what is the best way to get there? I'm sure there are PR experts who can help me out!

I read that you are asking about the Luquillo Beach. I definitively recommend it, if you come at least one day prior to sailing, because is almost 2 hours east San Juan (on normal traffic). it would be a long way to go for a day trip off the ship. if you come in for a pre-cruise, try the westin rio mar. it is located about 5 minutes from luquillo by car. the el-yunque rainforest is also within a 10-minute ride. we stayed at the westin for a week last year and are going back for a 3-day pre-cruise next week. if you go to luquillo, you have to try the lobster empenadas!!
