How many room attendants?

We are cruising on the Mariner over Valentine's day, and wanted to get our room attendant something....is there one head attendant and one assistant?

We were on the Mariner for the first time in June 2005 and we had an attendant and an assistant. The assistant may have been in training but we didn't ask. We bump up our tip since they did a great job with our stateroom and keep our cooler full of ice.

We had 2 but we were in a GS.Dont know if that is always the case. That is a sweet idea to bring them something. We do that for our stewards and waiters as well as drivers,etc. They really appreciate even the smallest token. The problem is we never know if they will be "shes" or "hes".

Just got back from the Mariner - we had one attendant - though there was a 2nd on one day when then did a linen change.:)

Over the last year or so they have had a team of two people except for our Splendour cruise this december which only had one.:)

This is correct. The head attendant shares the gratuities with their assistant.
