Buying Liquor in Port

Am on the Magica on 2/5 and sailing to Tortola, St Maarten, and Nassau.

 

What shops in either of these ports have the best prices on Liquor and cordials.

 

How many bottles will I be able to bring to US w/o duty.

You can officially bring 1 liter per person w/o duty. We just brought back 4 bottles of wine (2 of us). It all depends if you get "picked" by Customs to search your belongings. We carried 2 off in the box they give you and the other 2 went into a suitcase.

 

Phillipsburg has plenty of shops right on the main street in center of town.

We just got back and brought 6 bottles of liquor between my husband and I and never had to pay any fees. We were never asked nor searched at immigration. I think they are more interested in people bringing other things like drugs than a few bottles of liquor.
