SEUNOBX Posted December 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2019 Help! Cruising on the Divina on 2/7 with 36 friends and family. Most of them want to take an excursion to the Panama Canal, but more than a few have issues with motion sickness when riding a car or bus. Does the trip from Port to the canal have a lot of hills or mountains to travel in order to reach the docks?
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2019 It's not mountainous around the canal. EM

BillB48 Posted December 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2019 I assume you are stopping in Colon...are you just wanting to go to see the new locks of Agua Clara on the Atlantic side? If that is the case the road is fairly flat and the new locks are only about 10 miles from where your ship is docked. If you are looking at traveling to the Pacific side to see the original locks which are about an hour away there are hills to negotiate. Most of the trip is on a modern "interstate" type road where the hills are not all that steep and the road doesn't have a lot of sharp twists and turns.
