April005 Posted December 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2019 We are about to enjoy the two week cruise, Bridgetown Barbados to Philipsburg St Martin and then returning to Bridgeport. We would like to snorkel a couple of times. Would anyone recommend ( or not recommend ) the snorkelling excursions in the following places: Port Elizabeth Bequia (moon hole). Basse Terre Guadeloupe (Cousteau marine reserve) St John’s Antigua (Cades reef), Sophers Hole BVI (Norman Island), Basseterre St Kits/Nevis (Shittens Bay), or a SNUBA Adventure near bird rock. Castries St Lucia (SNUBA at Pigeon island), Saline Bay Mayreau, St Vincent/Grenadine (Tobago Cays or a two island adventure Chatham Bay/Mopion Reef.) Thank you ! I've done this excursion when we were on Seabourn Pride several years ago. My wife is a certified diver but I am not and frankly do things like this for her. However, I found this excursion to be very enjoyable. You shuttle over to a little beach club (more like a bar next to the water with some shade) and then you are ferried out to a little floating dock in a zodiac. The SNUBA portion was fun and very scenic. The water above was a little rough and it was a challenge for a few on the excursion who were not in the best physical shape-- there were two that didnt leave the floating pier. But if you are in reasonably good shape and know what to expect using a respirator you'll have a bunch of fun.
