Moscow Excursion

Has anyone done the optional excursion to Moscow while the ship stays in St. Petersburg for two days?  Viking website says the full time is 17 hours.  How much of that time is taken up on the railroad to get back and forth?

It says 4 hours on the train (BTW, it is an 8-hour drive one way) -- plus time to get you to the station in plenty of time to board the train before it leaves. IMHO, figure 10-10.5 hours spent dealing with the train (since Viking calculates tour time from the time you depart the dock until you return to the dock). That gives you 6.5-7 hours for lunch and actually seeing the sights in Moscow.
