Ketchikan taxis to/from trailheads

My wife and I are thinking about hiking either the Rainbird or the Ward Creek trail while we're in Ketchikan on our upcoming cruise.  

How reliable are the taxi services there in terms of calling for one once we're done hiking? Is it usually a long wait or are they pretty quick to pick you up?

The Rainbird can be done without a taxi. Take the city bus out to near the college, where the north end of the trail is. The south end is an easy walk downhill to the cruise port.
