kessdarln Posted March 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Both look breathtaking but alas, can do one or the other. First time to this region besides Barcelona. Thanks!
John Bull Posted March 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Seville is a long drive. Something like 90 minutes e/w by coach. The sights are quite iconic, but it's hardly "real Spain" and almost-certainly no inter-action with locals. The White Villages are much closer. Much more laid-back (despite the occasional steep streets, which you won't have to walk up). Very pleasant but I can think of nothing iconic. It's more "real Spain", though perhaps the real Spain of a few decades ago. And there are other options - for instance Jerez de la Frontere, the home of sherry and the Royal Equestrian School of Andalucian horses. Or Cadiz itself, the port is in the old town, a very pleasant place to wander or to people-watch from behind a long cool beer. Those are my thoughts, rather than recommending which to choose. The choosing of course is up to you JB
