Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted July 31, 2020 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2020 I didn't see this posted here yet and thought you may be interested since MSC is poised to start sailing in the EU. I can't tell if passengers are also quarantined at this time, or just crew. This is not what we needed 😞 https://thepointsguy.com/news/covid-outbreak-hurtigruten-norway/
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted July 31, 2020 Author #2 Share Posted July 31, 2020 This article has a few more details and answered my question about passengers. It appears they are all off board and are being asked to self isolate for 14 days. https://www.marinelink.com/news/four-crew-members-hurtigruten-cruise-ship-480622
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted August 1, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted August 1, 2020 Looks like the number is now 33 confirmed infected from the crew. Waiting on another 150 or so crew tests. Crew quarantined onboard. Apparently 60 passengers are in quarantine in the Clarion Hotel in Tromso, Norway while Hurtigruten is working to track down the rest. Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted August 1, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) You may need to translate this: https://www.portandterminal.com/33-crew-members-test-positive-for-covid-19-on-a-norway-cruise/ Rumors that Covid came onboard from a passenger on the cruise prior to this one and Hurtigruten was informed. Hurtigruten is tracking down the passengers from both sailings. Apparently over 60 passengers are being quarantined at the Clarion Hotel in Tromso. https://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/i/2GLwVR/hurtigruten-ble-varslet-om-passasjer-med-smitte-etter-forrige-tur-mente-det-ikke-var-grunn-til-bekymring It may be worthy to note that it doesn't appear Hurtigruten was requiring masks or a negative covid test prior to boarding (as is being suggested by the CDC for North American sailings). https://www.hurtigruten.com/practical-information/health-and-safety-on-board/ Edited August 1, 2020 by BermudaBound2014

Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted August 4, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted August 4, 2020 Just to update: Unfortunately, 43 passengers of the Hurtigruten ship have tested positive. Norway is closing all ports. https://www.wxyz.com/news/national/coronavirus/norway-cruise-ship-passengers-with-coronavirus-reach-
