Amaretto

.

On a recent cruise, we learned that we had to be careful to ask for "Disaronno," if that was what we wanted [and it was].  When we asked to have a splash of "Amaretto" in an espresso beverage, we were given a different brand -- DeKuyper.  Celebrity ships have both products.

Most people probably do not know that the original amaretto -- the one made by Disaronno -- is no longer referred to (officially) as "Amaretto."  According to Wikipedia:

"The product was called Amaretto di Saronno (Amaretto from Saronno) until 2001, when it was rebranded as "Disaronno Originale" for marketing reasons."

Yikes. Nothing like a good Dutch amaretto.

Yeah, really. There's nothing like that on Earth.
