seadonkey Posted February 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I was looking at VISA savings for general deals. I saw they had deals for NCL, Princess, RCCL, and Celebrity. You have to use a specific TA (I've never heard of them). Has anyone used this service? If so how did they fare?
AAAAmerican Posted February 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2006 We have used the Credit Card reccommended TA as required.. It has to be the TA pays the CC firm a CoOp fee etc.. that may be the reason.. I have had a long bus relationsip (one way) with my agent ,in Downtown NYC, Manhatten, NY, who recently would not match a published fare.. even though he promised he would do so... then I booked it myself with another larger cruise agency too So the agent/agency may have paid a fee to the CC firm you are looking at.. is the TA a CLIA ? VERY important ASTA member? ASATA has a $500,000.00 bond mandatory so yes then you know the TA is not here today and flown tommorrow..

Any TA can join ASTA and does not have to have a half million dollar bond to be a member.
RevSmith Posted February 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2006 It's just an assurance that the TA is registered. A safe guard for you.
