Casino Hours/Sovereign of the Seas

We will be on the Sovereign of the Seas in 2 weeks (woohoo). Does anyone know what hours the casino is open?
Typically, around a half hour after you leave port they open up. Sea days they'll open around 9:00 for slots and noon for table games. IIRC, CocoCay is like a sea day for casino hours. Also, if a ship stays in a port late into the evening (e.g. Nassau), the casino usually opens around 7PM - but that can depend on the port.

The casino on ANY ship opens when you are out to sea.

If you are an early riser, and actually like to gamble in the morning  , generally the slot machines are turned on at 10 A.M., and the tables open at 1 P.M.

The day you sail away from Port Canaveral, the casino will open at 6 P.M.

If you sail into Nassau later in the day, the casino will open at 9 A.M. and close when you arrive in port.

what time to they shut down the casino at night?
Usually they say just say wee hours, I've never stayed long enough to see them close. Since I'm home now, I can check cruise compasses from our last Majesty cruise - I expect Sovereign would be the same.

Nassau - Casino 7:00pm - wee hours.

CocoCay - Slots: Noon - wee hours, Tables: 1pm - wee hours

dave&micki: I agree. The casino will stay open until they decide that they're not making enough money to justify keeping it open. :) (Sorry, MGoBlue, I *do* stay up that late most nights!)

They will publish a closing time, sometimes, and other times the Cruise Compass will just say, "6 P.M. to LATE". Then they close when they feel like it. It has been as early as 2-2:30, and as late as 3:30-4.

If they open the casino inthe afternoon-- sometimes they only open the slots and not the tables-- but you know what!! just ask the pit boss if they would open a table of what you like to play and if they have the dealers they will open a table!! we went in one afternoon and no tables were open we play three card and I asked the pit boss what time they would be open and he asked us if we wanted to play now-- so he got a dealer and opened up a table!!!!:D :D HAPPY CRUISING
