Personnally...I would stay in Anchorage and just drive and then back. It is only a 45- 60 minute drive depending on traffic. But that is me. I would either stay at my roommate from College who lives there or return to my home in Anchorage.

No...Palmer is nice. I just wonder why you would stay there other than JUST to stay there?

we are only staying one night there because we are doing the glacier trek near by and then going to Talkeetna the next day to do a flight trip and then back to Anchorage the same day to catch a flight home.
