CharismaticWoman Posted February 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2006 Hey! Can someone please tell me a great place to get some good jerk chicken in Nassau. Somewhere close to the Nassau Hilton hotel would be nice. Even if it's not close, tell me any way! hehehe, just tell me how to get there from the port, please. Thanks!!! :D

Thanks!!! :D Jerk Chicken is Jamaican, not bahamian. You won't find it on too many menues in the bahamas. Anthony's Caribbean Grill on Paradise Island serves Jerk Chicken. Not quite like the roadside stands in Jamaica, but it's quite good. Anthony's is located just across the street from Atlantis Coral Towers and the Marina Village. You can grab a cab for $4pp, or the ferry boat for $3.

CharismaticWoman Posted February 24, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2006 What non-seafood foods are native to the Bahamas?? I guess what he's looking for is a place to try some of the local fare, but something that is no too- dive like. A moderate price restaurant or so... Bahamians make a great fried chicken, Smuddered Pork Chops, Chicken Souse, Peas soup w/dumplings etc. Here's a menu from a local restaurant at Arawak Cay. It will give you an idea of REAL bahamian cooking.. (they even have a jerk chicken) http://www.bahamasgp.com/images/menu/twinbros.jpg
