I Have Covid

There are always Silver Linings and we just have to look for them.  I have several…

I made myself an egg salad sandwich for Easter dinner. I was healthy enough to make an egg salad sandwich and I am not in the hospital. It didn’t taste that great but I made one, ha ha.

I was supposed to fly out and see my family when I returned home from my cruise. That didn’t happen but when I do go I will be able to snuggle with my grandchildren and not worry so much about catching Covid.

I am blessed with many friends and family that would do anything for me (some of them are on here).  I hope they realize that if they ever need me I am only a phone call/text away…. Once I’m out of quarantine 😊.

@MsSoCalCruiserI do hope you start to see some steady improvements in the coming days.  I like your positive attitude.  This will soon be all behind you and life will be rosy again.

Thank you! I do think that Covid will be in my rearview mirror in a day or two.  I don’t think I’ve ever slept so much in my entire life.

I unpacked and took it easy. Laundry tomorrow.

We disembarked a week today but I’m still not finished with my laundry. I have been too tired. Maybe I’ll do a load tonight or maybe not🤣.  I forgot that they kicked you off the ship today. Wasn’t the cruise just amazing?  I am thankful that I am not on the ship with Covid but I really wish I was still on the ship. We did not want to leave.

Yes it was amazing. I miss it already. No laundry for you for a few days.

We disembarked the Enchanted Princess on April 9. By the time I entered my home about 10 hrs later,  I had a fever of 101. I immediately did an at home Covid test and was positive. Of the four of us traveling together, 3 of us are positive. My husband has absolutely no symptoms and only showed positive after a pcr test at Walgreens. We wore masks periodically. IMHO,  I believe the most contagious onboard location is the casino. I’ve never been in a more poorly ventilated location on a ship. We would stop in during the evening but soon gave it up because of the smoke. Very bad design, Princess!

Btw… I’m on day 9 and feel good! Took Paxlovid from day 4 on.

I’m happy to hear that you are all feeling better. I will tell my friend about your husband because she is testing negative with no symptoms. I hope you contacted Princess and let them know that you had developed Covid when you returned home.

Unfortunately, I was unable to take Paxlovid.

I don’t understand smoking indoors during Covid times.  It just doesn’t make sense to me.  It just doesn’t seem like that’s how to take care of passengers.

Take care and get well soon!

We were on the bb ingural for the Discovery Princess. We did not wear masks but we’re fully vaccinated. My wife tested positive last Tuesday and of course gave it to me and I tested positive later in the week. We both have minor symptoms. Like people are saying we could have got it on the ship or in our post traveling. Will not keep me from cruising again.

I know I got it on the ship. I have 3 FCDs to use so I’m sure I will cruise again but I’m just not sure when.  I’m glad you both have minor symptoms. It sounds like there are possibly a lot of positive cases.
