Bermuda Day - Will we get back to ship on time?

Hi. Sailing on tne Celebrity Summit on 5/23. We heard that Bermuda Day will occur on May 27th in Hamilton. And that busses and ferries run on limited holiday schedules. Main parade starts at 1 pm. Will it be prohibitive/cutting it close to get back on board the ship by 5pm ( we sail away then.) I presume everyone will be exiting at one time, with a premium for transportation options.

Advice, please?

Buses run on a holiday schedule but ferries run on their normal schedule. So in the afternoon there will be a ferry at 1:30 and 3:15. Takes 30 minutes. So arrive back at 2:00 or 3:45. Ship leaves at 5:00 but what is all aboard time?

Did they change the schedule. Port schedule says Summit leaves on Saturday May 28.

The port schedule is showing Summit leaving at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 28.

Because of Bermuda Covid testing protocols, the itinerary will probably change days and ports, leaving the 27th.

Well that would stink. You will have to decide how close you want to cut it if that happens. The ferries don’t have a holiday schedule. In the past they have always run on their regular schedules on holidays. There has been no notice in their local paper of any change. The buses do run on a limited holiday schedule.

I am interested to see if the dock workers and pilot boat operators agree to work on Bermuda Day.
